If you have been found guilty of a criminal offence, or arrested in the past, whether your charges were withdrawn, stayed, dismissed or acquitted, you still have a criminal record. |

Criminal records are not automatically removed, you must apply under the Criminal Records Act of Canada for a pardon. |

A Pardon benefits individuals, who were convicted at one time and have since rehabilitated themselves, to become eligible to have their criminal records removed. |

Grace Pardon Services guarantees that you will be granted a pardon once you have complied with all the terms and conditions of your sentence. This means there are no oustanding payments due for any court fines. |

You must wait three years after the completion of your sentence for summary offences. |
| 5. |
You must wait five years after the completion of your sentence for indictable offences. |
